Counselors' Mission Statement

The mission of the School Counseling Program is to provide all students with a comprehensive school counseling program centered around an engaging curriculum that encourages the highest level of student achievement through their growth in academic, career and personal/social domain.  In collaboration with teachers, administrators, parents and the community, the school counselors will help all students to be successful lifelong learners and problem solvers.

Counseling Focus Statements

Personal/Social:  Students dealing with a wide range of personal and social issues will have access to counseling services. Counselors and teachers will work together to promote a safe learning environment for all students.  The counseling department works with at-risk and special needs populations when those factors interfere with academic progress. The counseling department serves as an integral part of crisis intervention.

Academic:         Counselors are a support service to parents, students, and teachers, to eliminate barriers to academic progress.

Career:              Students will be given opportunities to explore and identify a variety of careers as it relates to their personal interests and future goals.
