Welcome

The goal of SCSD 1 is to improve student learning by reporting grades that are accurate, consistent, meaningful, and supportive of learning, and the shift to standards-based learning is an effort to reach that goal.  Please review the parent guide to learn more about the standards-based learning system we will be using. You may contact your child’s teacher or principal with any questions you may have.

Substitute Teacher Class

Get prepared to work as a substitute!  We are always looking for substitute teachers in the district.  If you are interested in becoming a substitute teacher, there are a couple of options:

1)  If you have 64 college credits, you can simply apply on our website here.

2)  If you don't have the college credits, you can take a class that we are offering, taught by TRMS Language Arts teacher Jessica Finn on Jan. 28-29.  Details about the class are below.  Once completed, you can apply via the same link as above.

Thanks for considering being a substitute teacher.

Effective Substitute Teaching – EDUC 1501

Sheridan College will be offering a class on “Effective Substitute Teaching” on January 28-29, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm at TRVCC-Ranchester. This course provides students with an understanding of professional ethics and responsibilities.  The students expand their awareness of classroom management techniques, increase knowledge of effective teaching behaviors and develop a teaching resource file.  Observation hours are required in this course per state requirement for WY Substitute Permit.

For more information, please call Sheridan College at 675-0505.
