    Science Fair

    Dear Big Horn Elementary Families,

Big Horn Elementary will be doing our first annual Science Fair! We are super excited to have any and all students who are interested in participating to join in. It will be voluntary and non-judged so, we encourage parents to support and guide them through the scientific process. Our Science Fair will be Thursday, March 26 from 1:00 – 7:30 PM. Along with the student projects will be exploratory activities and demonstrations put on by volunteers. If you would like to volunteer, please let us know.

As you know, science, technology and engineering are basic skills many employers expect. Science Fairs involve students in these practices. Not to mention, it is just fun learning when the project is based on a genuine curiosity for learning the topic of their choice.

Please note the bulk of the work will be done at home. Students will be given project guidelines and timelines at school, and teachers will check in with them periodically. However, much of the work will be self-directed. Parents are encouraged to offer support and reminders. Below you will find guidelines and resources to help you get started. If there are any questions, please don’t hesitate to call, email or send a note. Thank you very much in advance for your support!

    Kathy Powers, BHE Principal
