I was born and raised in Idaho Falls, Idaho. I started my college experience at Ricks College studying graphic design. I took a two-year break from college and served a mission for my church in Japan. It was there that I fell in love with teaching as I taught English and other things to the Japanese people. I returned and finished my associate's degree in graphic design and then switched to art education. I graduated from BYU-Idaho and started teaching at Idaho Falls High School in December 2005. From there I came to Sheridan School District #1.
Above all that I do or have done, my family is the most important thing to me. I have a wonderful wife and five children. I enjoy spending time with them. The other things that I enjoy are camping, rock climbing/rappelling, ballroom dancing, boy scouts, soccer and of course all ART. Currently, my favorite art medium is chalk pastels but that changes from time to time. Before pastels, it was watercolor painting and before that oil painting.
My goal is to inspire and help you learn skills that will enable you to enjoy viewing art more and become wonderful artists.
